Building in SF. Working in applied AI.
Currently designing, prototyping, and implementing a conversational-AI assistant through my zero-to-one freelance agency, Studio Flurry (previous clients: Brex, Persona, UCSF, Grail, and more!).
In my free time, I am working on a few side projects including Walt (household manager AI) and Kindling (CA campground reservation and alert tool).
Most recently, I spent 3 years designing and building Codegen, an agentic dev platform acquired by ClickUp, as the founding design engineer (and later head of design). Before that, I was the first employee at The San Francisco Standard and led a six-person product, design, and engineering team.
Earlier in my career, I was a software engineer at Palantir and a designer at Coursera and Nextdoor. I studied Product Design and Engineering at Stanford.
I always love learning about new potential projects. Get in touch at hello@joelaguero.com or on LinkedIn.
